Dr. Jim Burchett
Dr. James Burchett received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He then went on to graduate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He then returned home to Clarksville to practice. Dr. Burchett has been practicing for 10 years. In 2005 Dr. Jim Burchett and his wife, Dr. Leslie Burchett started Family Pet Hospital and in 2008 started our sister clinic Tiny Town Animal Clinic. He is the father of three beautiful children, Emily, Jeb and Eli.
Dr. Leslie Burchett
Dr. Leslie Burchett attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate studies and received her doctorate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. The four legged children in the household include Morgan, Izzy, Willow, Briar, Aspen, Shadow, and Tybee.
Dr. Aline Kemp
Dr. Kemp was raised in central Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky in 1995. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1999. She currently lives on a farm with her husband, child, & 4 sweet dogs.
Dr. Amy Macintire
Dr. Amy Lee Macintire is a military brat that lived all over the world and US growing up, however she is originally from the Nashville area. She attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville and graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry. Amy attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville. After completion of veterinary school she stayed at UT for advanced training with a 1-year internship. Amy currently lives on the family farm with her animal children consisting of: three golden retrievers (Daisy, Rosebud, and Dani), pitbull (Holly), Thoroughbred retired racehorses (Smokey and Ikon), and Warmblood (Ravelle). In her free time Amy enjoys horseback riding and trail running marathons and ultra-marathons.
Dr. Blake grew up in Clarksville, TN. She received her BS in Animal Science and her Doctorate f Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. There, she met her husband Dr. Richard Blake, who is also a Veterinarian. She has an interest in almost every aspect veterinary medicine, including internal medicine, surgery and Behavior. Her current furry family consists of Bruce, a lovable mutt, and mischievous cat, Jagger. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her large family, any outdoor activity, and watching UT football games.
Dr. Waitzman grew up in Queens, New York. She achieved her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University. She then went on to graduate from veterinary school at Ross University in the Caribbean and did her clinical year at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Her fur babies are a Jack Russell terrier named Charlie and a black and white kitty named Panda. On her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
